Description

This presentation will discuss why branding is important for non-profit
organizations and provide an overview discussing the different types of
intellectual property (trademark, copyright, trade secret and patent) as well
as how to identify them.

Non-profit professionals will learn about the steps
in the trademark application process and the costs involved with obtaining,
maintaining, and enforcing a federally registered trademark. You will also
discover best practices to control brands, avoid trademark infringement,
and what to do if you receive a cease and desist letter.
