Floral Stained glass Cake Technique

Description

Learn to create a unique and beautiful cake with a Stained-Glass Art Technique. In this hands-on class, you learn this beautiful technique working on fondant, and how to paint using edible colors, and royal icing. This stained-glass cake is a unique and beautiful work of art taught by Iris Stiverson, a professional confectionary artist in the Art of Pastry. All supplies are provided, just bring a notepad. Come have fun while learning to decorate this amazing technique.

In this 7-hour class, you’ll learn to:

 

• To create this design, you will cover a demo cake with fondant.
• How to make Royal Icing, and how to use colors.
• Learn how to make the outlines with Royal Icing
• Transfer designs to a cake
• Hand painting with edible colors and creating the realistic effect of stained glass.

Skill level: beginner to intermediate

Minimum age requirement - 14 years old.

Breaks:

Students will be given a 30-minute break halfway through the class. We encourage students to bring their own lunch
