You are invited to see and hear what it takes to educate 200,000 children every school day, as well as study the support operations that
go on behind the scenes of our front-line teachers. Just as there are leadership programs throughout the community that afford you the privilege of acquiring a global understanding of business, government and society in Central Florida, Orange County Public Schools wants to invite you to be a member of Leadership Orange.
We hope to satisfy your curiosity and answer your questions in eight half-day sessions from September through April on topics such as:
How we teach and how students learn:
-School choice
-Raising graduation rates
-Exceptional Student Education: Gifted to Autism to Physically Impaired
-Transporting and feeding tens of thousands daily
-How business partners and volunteers help meet critical needs
While we hope this invitation will entice you to apply for our class, we do recognize that a colleague or associate may be interested in
the program as well. Applications are transferable, so feel free to share with anyone you think would be interested.
OCPS employees are not eligible to apply.
Applications should be submitted by August 12. Acceptance decisions will be made the week of August 22. If you or a colleague is accepted,
there is a $250 per-person enrollment fee to cover expenses, including breakfast and lunch for each session. Limited scholarships are available.
