Description
In the third and sunnier play of the trilogy that includes In the Red and Brown Water and The Brothers Size by writer Tarell Alvin McCraney,
16-year-old Marcus Eshu searches for the significance of “sweet” in the rural town on San Pere, Louisiana even as the rain clouds of a massive
storm, which may call to mind hurricane Katrina, threaten to inundate the region.
Mr. McCraney, the most original poet in contemporary American theatre, is also a 2017 Academy Award winner with the film Moonlight,
which won Oscars for Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor and Best Adapted Screenplay.
