Presented by Kim Dennis, Ph.D., Professor of Art History,Rollins College and Gretchen Meyers, Ph.D., Associate Professor and Chair of Classics, Franklin & Marshall College. Join Drs. Kim Dennis and Gretchen Meyers for a first look at their collaborative research on the Pietro da Cortona ceiling in Rome’s Palazzo Pamphilj. Drs. Dennis and Meyers will discuss how Cortona’s fresco links an important papal family to the mythical founding of Rome, and an important archival discovery will be revealed.
