Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and guitar virtuoso, Carlos Santana, is extending his Transmogrify Tour with is longtim, by adding a stop at Amway Center on Thursday, October 26.
“Transmogrify” means to transform in a magical or surprising way, and that certainly relates to Carlos Santana, who turns 70 in July. During his 50-year career, he has transcended from being the only performer at Woodstock without an album, to a multi-platinum, Grammy-winning artist whose 1999 hit, “Smooth,” became one of the biggest songs of the decade. It’s become commonplace to tout Carlos Santana’s late-era comeback, but few artists have merged artistic credibility, staying power and pop success as well as he has, and for as long.
